Our Donut Boats hold up to 10 people. They are electric, so they’re easy to drive. A round table in the middle is great for sharing food and beverages, and the circular seating makes for easy conversations.

FAQs

Do you need experience to rent a boat?

No experience is required.

What do I need to rent a boat?

We require a matching credit/debit card and photo ID from someone over the age on 18.

Do you offer insurance?

We do not offer insurance. Customer is responsible for all damages.

How old do you have to be to drive the boats?

18 and older or 12 and older, depending on boat. A contract must be signed by an adult.

How old do passengers have to be?

There is no age limit, though some boats have safety requirements.

How many people are allowed on the boats?

Each boat has a maximum capacity, please check the specific boat you are renting. All persons regardless of age count towards the maximum capacity.

Are lifejackets required?

While strongly recommended for everyone, the U. S. Coast Guard only requires passengers under the age of 13 to wear lifejackets at all times.

Do you provide life jackets?

Yes, we provide life jackets for all sizes.

Where do I park?

Tempe Beach parking lot off of Rio Salado.

Where are you located?

Tempe Beach Park, south side of the lake next to Mill Ave. Bridge. [directions]

Can we bring food and drink on the boats?

Absolutely, highly recommended. Space is limited on the boats, call our office for more details.

Do you allow fishing?

Yes, customer is responsible for any damages or cleaning fees.

Do you allow swimming off your boats?

No swimming is allowed in Tempe Town Lake.

Do you allow pets?

Yes, however some rules and restriction may apply.

Are coolers provided?

No, but you are welcome to bring your own.

What is the minimum rental time?

There is a 1-hour minimum then prorated in 15 minute intervals.

Is there a beach?

No.

What are the weather conditions?

How big is the lake?

2 miles long by ¼ mile wide.

Is BBQing allowed?

No.

What is the cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours advance notice to cancel a reservation.

Can I reserve a boat for the same day?

No, reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. All same day rentals are first come, first serve.

Can we hire your company to drive the boat for us?

No.

Can we bring alcohol on the boats?

No, at this time alcohol is not permitted on Tempe Town Lake.
