The chart below has a couple of our recommended tours. Each tour (Red and Green) will take approximately 1 hour in one of our powered boats (speed limit is 5 knots).

It’s been a long day, and unwinding with a harbor cruise at happy hour with some good friends, appetizers and your favorite beverages is the best way to unwind. Catch some rays in our outboard boats, enjoy the open air in our shaded Surrey Top electric boat, or relax anytime in our fully-enclosed model (shown below). Each model includes bluetooth stereo/speaker and built-in dining table.

FAQs

A: No experience is necessary to drive our boats. We can teach you everything you need to know before you leave our dock. We suggest novice boaters or people with less experience take out boats on weekdays or earlier in day when traffic and congestion on the harbor are less.

A: We require a matching credit/debit card and photo ID from someone over the age of 21.

A: Yes, all boats require a contract to be signed by a legal adult who will be onboard the boat.

A: We keep a credit or debit card on file to be charge a minimum $500 damage deposit if damage occurs. If you do not cause damage to the boat, the charge is never processed.

A: No. You are fully responsible for any damages caused to the boat

A: Usage areas depend on the boat you chose. Please check with our office if you have a specific area in mind.

A: All drivers must be over the age of 21.

A: There is no age limit, though some boats have safety requirements.

A: Each boat has a maximum capacity, please check the specific boat you are renting. All persons regardless of age count towards the maximum capacity.

A: While strongly recommended for everyone, the U. S. Coast Guard requires passengers under the age of 14 to wear lifejackets at all times. If you cannot swim, you are also required to wear a lifejacket.

A: Yes, we provide lifejackets for all sizes.

A: All day parking can be found in the parking structure off of Adams St. and Bay Ave.(behind Newport landing restaurant), or the parking lot next to the Balboa Pier off Main St. Meter parking can be found throughout the area. Two hours is the maximum on all meters.

A: We are located just to the left of the Balboa Island Ferry and the Fun Zone. [directions]

A: Not necessarily. If someone else will be checking in for the reservation they must have the confirmation email and will be asked to put down a credit/debit card and photo ID under their name and assume any further financial liability for the boat. Payment can stay on the card that was initially charged.

A: Absolutely, highly recommended. Space is limited on the boats; call our office for more details. Keep in mind there can be a cleaning fee if the boat is left excessively messy. Excessive spilt food, drinks, trash or stains left on the boat can be charged an additional fee.

A: No, we do not allow fishing off of any our boats.

A: Swimming is not permitted off any motorized water craft, it is against the law.

A: Pets are only allowed in the powerboats. Pets are not allowed on our electric boats.

A: No, but you are welcome to bring your own.

A: All rentals require a 2-hour minimum.

A: We require 24 hours advance notice to cancel a reservation.

A: Yes, same day reservations can be made through our website or by calling into the office.

A: Yes, decorations are allowed with a few guidelines. No mylar balloons are allowed on the boat. Decorations cannot obstruct the view of the driver, our dockhands will notify you if something is a problem. Decorations with glitter, confetti or other hard to clean materials are also not allowed.

A: Last rental needs to be returned back by 9pm
Hours may vary based on weather or special events.

A: We only guarantee boarding the boat approximately 10-15 minutes before your start time as the boats need to be cleaned, sanitized and charged between every rental.
